Our tour of the C&W layout begins near Cochise Roundhouse
as we pull out of Knott's Terminal onto one of the main line
tracks aboard a Great Northern Railway Doodlebug. Knott's
Terminal is a storage track area to the left of the photo.
Cochise Roundhouse is in the northwest corner of the
layout room, and consists of steam and diesel engine servicing
facilities, a turntable, and roundhouse.
Soon after entering the main line, we pass Wino Alley, where a
drunken driver has ran into and knocked down a road crossing
signal. The police, fire department, and an ambulance have
arrived, and the driver is being administered a field sobriety test
while a curious railroad employee observes the action.

Our crew makes a refueling stop
before heading out on their run.
We return to the main line at the west end of
Cochise Village. Cochise Village's city limits
sign indicates that it was "foundered" in 1879,
and has a population of 17 and falling ...
